Surrounded by 69 dams and numerous small islands scattered over 83km, the natural landscape of Alqueva is simply breathtaking.
You would stay in a bright and airy double room overlooking the lakes for 3 nights of blissful peace and quiet under a sky filled with millions of stars. Your days will be spent filling canvases with the yellows, blues and greens so synonymous with the Alentejo countryside with me on hand to guide your strokes and develop your skills.

The Garden Island of Madeira
As there are literally 100's of hotel options to choose from in the beautiful Madeiran capital of Funchal, I decided to leave that choice to you! I will arrange a minibus driver to collect you from your individual hotel in Funchal and bring you to the painting venue of the day - this will be exciting as there are thousands of places to choose from on this stunningly beautiful island!
We will paint waterfalls, mountains, scarily high cliffs, and teal blue ocean. I hope you like the colour green as there's plenty of it!

I’m just back from a truly amazing Art Holiday up in the mountains of Greece.
Each morning we were taken to a different location to paint with spectacular views, then the chef from Montanema village would cook us a spectacular lunch with herbs and mushrooms from the forest...
This was an amazing week, spent with other artist bouncing ideas off each other in a truly magical location. I will definitely be going again next year.

What a magical place, and such a great place to stay. Karen picked the places to paint that were all fantastic from mountains to waterfalls and lakes. The colours were so beautiful at this part of the world.
The group of people were so lovely and we all enjoyed each others company. The accommodation was amazing, with fantastic views over the mountains. The staff looked after us so well and the food was so delicious . I would highly recommend to all who want to paint and have a different type of holiday away from it all.

Having found a new passion of oil painting in my life I went on a plein air painting holiday run by Karen in the Greek mountains.
What an amazing time I had. Best holiday ever.
The venue was absolutely amazing and the organisation of the week by Karen was faultless. Karen chose beautiful spots to paint and I learned so much. I will definitely do it again.
